Not worth the price
Ok experience, not a good value at $1,000 a night and I expected more...elevators are terrible, I had to walk down 12 floors to get out with a dozen other people on my floor after waiting 30 was way understaffed for such a big event and service was slow because of that....

Not what I expected...a bit of a let down
I'll start by saying: I feel like I'm being harder on it because it's THE RITZ. But I was also staying there and paying more because it's THE RITZ. The room, which was supposed to be a city hall view gave me a glimpse of a corner of city hall if I crammed into the far side of the window. Now, we checked in early, so maybe that had something to do with it, so I'll give them a pass on that. The room itself was just okay. Stained carpet in one place and stained duvet in one place. Just okay bed and linens. I guess I was expecting a more lush "5 star" experience. It could have been a Hampton Inn, minus the extremely overpriced mini-bar. My biggest complaint was that the outlet in the bathroom was completely unusable. Looked like someone broke off a child safety cover in it. Which left no place to get ready and blow dry or curl my hair without guessing. The doormen/valet were hit or miss if they would hold the door for you or acknowledge you at all. We got there around 2:00 on a Tuesday and they were testing the fire alarms for what felt like an hour. It took almost 20 minutes at a nearly empty bar to get a martini. All in all it was an okay stay, but I was just expecting more from the Ritz. It made what was supposed to be a huge surprise for my fiancé a bit of a let down.

Lovely last minute stay!
We stayed at the Ritz after weather delayed us getting into Philly to catch our connection to London-Budapest. The staff was incredibly helpful in providing us with all the toiletries we needed. The hotel was very comfortable, trendy and overall great for the price.
