Lovely small hotel - near Castle
Lovely small hotel located near the Castle. We were upgraded to the "Senior Suite" which was very comfortable and had 1 1/2 baths with a beautiful sitting area. The location is a bit out of the way from the main part of the city but it is an easy 2 tram stops (and they sell the $1 tram tickets at the front desk) - super easy.

A Bit Overrated
Not quite as splendid as I thought, but the staff was very helpful and courteous. No carts to bring up luggage, and I had a leak in the ceiling of my suite. The rooms were very state-of-the-art, however, and I would stay there again, though for the price, there are other, better options.

More work needed.
Amazing upgrade to a suite with a terrace on arrival although the welcome on arrival at the door was somewhat muted. We had to deal with our own bags and get ourselves out of the taxi and in to the hotel. There always used to be someone to help with bags etc. before but this seems to have dropped off. The room was fabulous; situated on the eighth floor, large and light with an enormous terrace and big windows overlooking the town. The bathroom seemed good with separate shower and bath, toilet and bidet. A kettle and tea making facilities were included with porcelain cups and saucers, although no coffee machine was installed (expresso machines in the room are fairly standard for all 5 star hotels I visit in other countries now). It was at night that the problems started to occur starting with the noise from the lift motor which I, as a fairly light sleeper found very annoying. The lock on the front door didn't work and later in the night my wife woke to find two members of staff in the room "looking for a water leak"!!! This was disconcerting in the extreme and although there was a plausible explanation for this gross intrusion of our privacy, very little in the way of apology or compensation was offered. The flood shower did not work very well and it was best to use the smaller shower head but the water leaked out of the cubicle in to the bathroom. Maybe the source of the "water leak" if this was happening in other rooms?
