Unacceptable
My wife and I were staying at the The Peninsula Manila Hotel for two nights upon our return from a visit to Guam. We had stayed at the hotel for one night on our way to Guamon 19 December, prior to flying to Guam on the 20th of December I talked to the check in agent and asked him to lock on a hotel vehicle to pick us up at the airport on 4 December when we return from Guam. In addition, I emphasized that we need a van type SUV since we would have several large suitcases on our return. The check in agent took our return flight information and told me that they would have a hotel vehicle pick us up at the airport on the 4 of December as request. I reconfirmed with the agent that they would have a van type SUV pick us up. When we arrived and cleared customs, etc., on the 4th of December I saw a representative from the The Peninsula Manila Hotel holding a sign with our name on it and told him that I was the person he was looking for. We lead the way and we took our luggage and followed him to to where the vehicle was. When the vehicle arrived I was shocked to see that it was a regular vehicle and I immediately to the The Peninsula Manila driver that there was not way we got get all of our luggage in that vehicle and where was the SUV I requested. He did not have an answer and said he would have the hotel send a SUV and asked us to please wait in the waiting room. I wife, at that time, talked to a SUV taxi parked across the road, which we hired to drive us to the hotel.

Totally unacceptable Actions
We stayed one night before flying to Guam and the room was nice, but the hotel caused us to have problems with my Chase credit card after we arrived in Guam. The hotel, as usual added a 5,0000 Peso charge to our pre-paid hotel room and upon checking out and asking the hotel staff how long it would take for the hotel to credit the 5,000 Pesos back to my card they said they would expedite it and would call and cancel the charge transaction at which time I told them not to attempt to do anything special; just cancel the charge and credit it back to my credit card. We checked out of the hotel early on Sunday and flew to Guam. After arriving in Guam, on Wednesday, I was having a new pair of glasses prepared for my wife at a local eye glass facility in Guam and when I attempted to pay for the eye exam and new glasses with my Chase credit card the card the payment was denied. After trying a second time with the same results the store manager kindly called the Chase emergency number provided on the back of my card and I was able to talk to the Chase credit card fraud and abuse representative who told me they had frozen my card due to suspicious calls from The Peninsula Manila financial representatives concerning the 5,0000 Peso charge against my Chase Credit Card, which led them to freeze my account due to suspicious activity. After a long conversation with the Chase representative he agreed to life the freeze of my account and I was able to pay for my wife's new glasses.

5 stars all the way!
The hotel was amazing and huge. It was very close to 3 large shopping malls which was full of great restaurants and good deals. The rooms were perfect. Service was impeccable. I couldn't find any negatives at all.
