Though the neighborhood is not the best, the shuttle service the hotel provides is fantastic and makes it easy to get around.

Mostly good, but the service was not what I have usually experienced at Westin properties in other cities. I got back late after a long work day and wanted a glass of wine and something to eat. I was told they do not serve alcohol after 11pm. I also ordered hot tea, and the hot water came in what was clearly a coffee pot. As I poured the water in my cup it was brownish and smelled strongly of coffee. As always, the beds, pillows and shower were wonderful. Though some of the pillowcase didn’t match—they were beige not white, and were too small so half the pillow was hanging out. This might sound petty, but I assume you want honest feedback.

Nice hotel/friendly staff
Kait at front desk and bell-woman were so friendly and helpful, especially when deciding on dining location. Great location and very clean. Only issues were the following: my room smelled overwhelmingly of a perfume scented air freshener (possibly used to mask odor from a previous guest). I didn’t bother to ask to switch rooms as I eventually adjusted to the scent and was only staying one night but it was very unpleasant each time I returned to my room. The temperature was also very difficult to control...it was either freezing or way too warm; changing thermostat slightly changed actual temp drastically. The only other issue was the amount of dishes left outside of the hotel rooms from room service dishes that patrons had finished. There even was a dirty glass outside of my room when I arrived that no one removed after delivering our luggage to my room. There also was a disgusting dark green-colored left over smoothie outside of a nearby room that had spilled over onto the carpet and remained there for hours. Inside the rooms and the hotel in general was very clean aside from that issue.

Nice place to stay, good location
Was in Portland for no reason other than we'd never been there and had a couple days to kill. The front desk staff gave us a handout of things to do, which we appreciated. Easy walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores. Overall a nice hotel. The bed was very comfortable, like sleep for 12 hours comfortable. The only things I didn't like: the Starbucks closed at 11am, no hot tub, and the AC in the room was a bit loud.
