I don't like booking an accommodation that includes an amenity and after I check in and have paid then find out my room does not include the amenity. In my opinion this is false advertising and when I question the manager and given an excuse why it wasn't included it's not only false advertising but I've been lied to and cheated. Not happy with this.
The front desk staff (owner?) was very welcoming and friendly. She took the time to show me around the place. I loved the view from our deck. Outdoor pool with fun swan/flamingo floaties. Cool outdoor sauna, I didn't get a chance to use it. Nice distance to the beach in Lincolinville. Beach not accessible from the motel. Enjoyed that it was dog friendly.
Fun and quirky roadside motel. Super close to state park for hiking and Camden for dining. Alex, the owner, has worked hard to offer her guests an enjoyable and relaxing retreat. Probably beat for short term stays.
Fun visit. Artful decor make this a unique place to stay.
This is our second summer visiting the Lincolnville. In our opinion it is the perfect blend of comfort, cozy, style and beautiful surroundings. Facing the ocean, the cabins have perfect decks that we can sit out on with a beer while playing records in the room. There is an exceptionally awesome sauna now with a large bubble window facing the sea - I highly recommend! We love how unpretentious and perfect this non-fussy spot is. It is all the bonuses of being hipster without actually being hipster. Books and records are stacked in each room.in lieu of TV's. The pool is beautiful to just sit out by and enjoy. We have loved the service and care here year after year.
Staff was friendly and the cottages were very neat and trendy. Beautiful views to the lake out back and minutes from Camden. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone.
This property was built in the fifties, and it shows. The furnishings in this motel are the result of several visits to flea markets and lawn sales. We arrived 15 minutes before check in time, and the woman at the desk walked out to walk her dog before coming back to check us in. We entered the rustic "honeymoon cabin" to find an old record player and some albums from the sixties. Simon and Garfunkle, and Janice Joplin. No TV and no phone. However the bed was reasonably comfortable, and the smell of bleach indicated the place was relatively clean except for a stint of killing several bugs and spiders during the evening. Coffee in the morning consisted of a carafe in the main building. No cream, just low fat milk. No sugar substitute, just granulated sugar in a shaker. Ice consisted of a bag in the apartment size refrigerator freezer that was bought from the local store that was half gone and frozen together from being in there so long. On the up side, the lack of a TV allowed my wife and I to celebrate our twentieth anniversary by sharing drinks and chatting and reminiscing for a good part of the evening while listening to some oldies.
,Nice given tour for amenities and had a good stay
