The room was nice but the parking was awful. I have Never stayed in a hotel where you have to street park

It looks like they were doing some exterior upkeep - so that’s good. Our room was in an entirely different building across the street from the rest of the property which felt awkward. “Ocean view” was far and very minimal. They have a hot tub, but in a scary place (down dark hallway and very secluded) and tiles were falling off. Breakfast was decent. Not worth the amount they charge in my opinion.

We had a nice stay for my Birthday getaway. The only thing we could suggest is having two waffle makers because one family takes about 10-15 mins to make all the waffles for everyone.

Disappointing experience
Grumpy person at desk, until I made a joke. Not very good directions to extra parking and sign is visible only from one side. And that is not the side you come from when parking is full at the main building... Jaccuzzi was hidden in a dark alley-like setting. The room was nice, but not worth $150. Breakfast was great, as expected and the lady was very welcoming - kudos for that. But what bugged me most, was knocking on the door by housekeeping, way before 11. There is - or should be- a system, where the women know, which rooms have checked out; and which ones have not. Then, when I left and was hauling my bag downstairs to the car; the cleaning cart was smack in the middle of the aisle and I had to squeeze through with a heavy bag. Not a great experience and definitely not worth $150. Will not recommend and will not go back.

Very Good8.0
Not fancy but carpet and furnishings are new. Refrigerator and microwave in room. Refrigerator was quiet. Easy walk to main streets and places in downtown Monterey.
