Good stay with our young kids
We enjoyed our 4 night stay with our young family but definitely room for improvement and in hindsight would have reduced length of stay. The room was comfortable and well cleaned and we loved our hammock on the balcony. The service was mixed, some staff were super friendly whilst others were dismissive and couldn’t even raise a smile. The pool was a hit with our 4 year old daughter but tired in places, and the communal toilets in need of some attention. The tours we did were great for our young kids but a little overpriced for what they were. The food in the restaurant was great and a good choice. They were making an effort to renovate while we were there with painting going on but it struck us that the entire resort has suffered a little from the pandemic with a lot of areas closed off.

The place is very nice. The thing that needs to improve is the meals options. The hotel has only 2 restaurants. One is a bar with a short menu(always the same) and the other restaurant is ALWAYS buffet (breakfast, lunch and Dinner). The buffet is expensive. Also needs a little of TLC

Room With A View - great room, great view
Where to start? With the view of course -- river and rainforest from a spacious balcony complete with a hammock. The location follows -- easy walks to rainforest hiking trails, and the hotel assists you in booking excursions to the near-by Gamboa Rainforest Reserve (many reasonably priced options available) Last but certainly not least -- the resort's team were highly efficient and very welcoming.

This place is in a nice location surrounded by jungle. The pool was great and they include towels however the pool did close early at 5pm. The room was nice and comfortably. The only thing to note was that we did not have hot water. The breakfast buffet was good with lots of options. The monkey bar also had food and alcoholic drinks. While the hotel offers a variety of tours, we met a man in the nearby dock near the bike trail and Texas restaurant who we hired to take us to Monkey Island. He also took us to the Embera village the next day with a tour of the man groves and took us to a waterfall. We did not book these thru the hotel because they always seemed busy or were not around. We did book the Aerial team and sloth tour thru the hotel. You can book one or both of these as well as add the Monkey Island tour. You can also do zip lining That is not booked with the hotel however the office is next to the entrance of the sloth sanctuary. My kids 11 and 14 enjoyed their stay at this location.
