Beautiful hotel, great location, lousy parking.
Beautiful hotel. Great location, and incredible staff. I guess I have three minor complaints. The first on being all of the additional charges, yes I understand all hotels are guilty of this, but please stop. There is no parking in the area, and you charge $40.00 for valet parking? Please, just roll it into the price of the room. It is annoying to get charged yet another fee every time you turn around. The second, there is NO parking in the entire area, we had to double park to check in at the hotel. Third, the restaurant in the hotel was literally a hallway, they were remodeling but it seems like you could do a little better job of relocating the restaurant. I look forward to coming back, the location and staff made up for small irritation. Please fix the parking problem.

Great Hotel
Great stay. Not the most modern hotel, but well kept. Fantastic bed and spacious room. Restaurant surprised on the upside considering the out of date look (Breakfast and Dinner).

We had a great time! The room was clean, well maintained and quiet. The only small problem was one typical to most hotel rooms- placebo thermostat. No matter how much you turn it down at night, room temperature remains steady at 21.5 c even with the window open. At 2:00 am I finally turned it off and the room cooled off to19c so we could sleep comfortably. Our first impression as we walked in on level M from the Palliser parkade was finding a bum slumped in a nice chair in the entrance to the hotel with his garbage around him. A bit of a turn off. I noticed a security camera pointed at him so I don't imagine he was there long assuming the security people look at their cameras regularly.

Inconsistent price offerred
I was told that I will be given room at Fairmont Gold as complimentary since I waited about an hour in the lobby managing changes on my stay and yet I was billed 408.67CAD which is not the price I am expecting as I even reserved via Expedia for discounted price.

Great stay
Great time. Couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. Everyone was great. Only 1 negative. The carpet in our room was really worn. Needs to be changed out. I have been in the business for years and I was impressed.
