Winter vecation in fairmont Edmonton
Excellent well maintained colonial style nicw hotel, with old design and remodled to meet the preaent code and facilities. I was on 6th floor eiver view room, view from.window was gorgeous, room size is good, the door between the eoom and hall way is majestic, but does not has any gaskit along tye perameter of the jams and having 2 inch gap with floor, cuasing neasence with privacy of the guests, voice can the listen across the door from room to hall way and vise versa. Water pressure in th sink is bit high, over all atay in this hotal was wonderfull.

Needs an update and to make guest feel special
Celebrated our anniversary over 4 days; we were disappointed the hotel didn't acknowledge our special occasion in any way, as other hotels have in the past. Room were noisy- hallway noises very loud through thin door. Pillows were lumpy and room was very small. Overall needs an update. Spa was nice but pool needs a cleaning. Would not stay again.

Insulting $15.95 charge for WiFi
This hotel has the gaul to charge for WiFi, which in 2018 is utterly unacceptable. I consider it to be an insult, and it doesn't matter how nice the rest of the hotel is, being insulted sours your entire stay. I think if you have an account with them you can get it free, but it's complicated if you are booking through I was able to convince the front desk to give me access by mentioning I had an account, but it's crazy that you need to jump through those hoops. And you shouldn't need to set up an account - being a paying customer should be more than good enough. I get free, fast internet at McDonald's without having to spend any money. How is this MacDonald so much less convenient, when their business is supposed to be hospitality? People need to hold hotels accountable for this sort of thing, and give them poor reviews and stay other places until they change their policies. Providing internet is probably cheaper than providing toilet paper, yet you'd never accept a culture of charging for that.

Very Good8.0
Comfortable, clean, but thin walls.
Very clean. Everyone we talked to was very friendly. They didn’t explain how to pay for parking so we paid a little more than we should have. The room was very nice, and a super comfortable bed and linens. The walls are a little thin; we could hear people on the other room and in the hall, full conversations. There is TONS of light bleeding in from the curtains, the door, and the electronics. If your room faces the river, they literally sign flood lights at the hotel right into the rooms at night.
