Nice staff, not great street
We arrived and were told due to unforeseen circumstances they didn’t have a room for us. They booked us at the Howard Johnson’s Florida Plaza. The desk staff couldn’t have been more apologetic and kind. They arranged for a taxi to take us there and gave us some snacks while we waited. The HJ was in a better neighborhood- on a pedestrian street rather than the very busy street that the Holiday Inn was on.

Nice hotel in a good location
The service was fabulous. Breakfast was delicious. Hotel is centrally located and near the Buquebus if going to Colonia. Don't bother paying extra for a river view though, not worth it.

Good spot
Pretty good spot! Walking distance to almost everything. Staff is bilingual so if you speak English it should be good. I would recommend staying here.

Holiday Inn Express is excellent reliable hotel
Wonderful hotel (American style) about 4 blocks from Puerto Madero. Checkin is at 3P but they stowed our luggage and suggested we go up one floor to the "restaurant" area for some tea or coffee which is available complimentary all day long. They were able to get our rooms (4) for us early. We were recommended (by the security/concierge gentleman) a restaurant which was 4 blocks going left out the door on the same side as hotel. Safe to walk there and back at night. WHAT a fantastic restaurant!! And so inexpensive compared to Puerto Madero. Then when we were leaving the front desk arranged for a "remis" to take us to EZE if we put the charge on our room account....it was the cheapest rate I have ever heard of and the concierge stayed with us outside until we were accommodated with the proper size cab for our luggage. The hotel is very clean, all amenities, in-room safe and because of that restaurant that one can walk to I would highly recommend. But the Gallerias Pacifico is also within walking distance for the food court which is one floor down to bottom. Oh, and the bkst included at the rate is extraordinary.... makes the rate more of a bargain. I noticed the bathtub had skid tapes... all in all I felt like I was in a U.S. hotel in Buenos Aires. The staff speaks good English.
