6/10 for quality of your dollar.
For what you pay to stay here, it could be nicer. The rooms are small and the walls are thin. I heard my nieghbors constantly even just talking. The service desk was very polite and helpful the neighborhood is far from everything worth seeing but the metro is relatively close by. A few shops and cafes are close. I wouldnt stay here again. There are other options that are cheaper and offer more amentities closer to downtown areas. The streetsbare disgustingly dirty but thats Paris as a whole.

Gem in the 9th
I absolutely loved the decor in the common area, I came down just to sit & read a few times. The room was nice and clean. Very friendly staff, and there are numerous shops and restaurants right outside.

Hotel Pulitzer - Summer 2017
Great little boutique hotel. Good style in common areas and rooms, comfortable, great staff who went way above/beyond. Bar is lacking, but with tons of places to get a drink within 1-2 blocks that is a lesser concern. Fantastic value for the price.

Excellent, moody hotel in a vibrant part of Paris.
Amazing lobby. Old world furniture, awesomely dim mood lighting, elegant bar, etc. The room, elevator, stairs, were tiny. This is to be expected of any old hotel in Europe (or any old civilization, really). The room was comfortable and elegant. There was some perfume (their own branded scent) sprayed about. As I am not particularly keen on cologne, I opened the window promptly to air it out. They didn't add any when they performed room service, which is good. Honestly, after staying at 4+ hotels on my trip to Paris and Toulouse, this was by far my favorite, and the most memorable. The Rue Berger area where the hotel is located is really cool, too. Lots of foreign cuisine, a vibrant night life, and very walk-able. Feels less touristy, but with all the amenities tourists require. The "wine moment" given with a certificate upon check in was actually very nice. The house Bordeaux they served was excellent. The last-minute rate /"secret price" available through Hotels.com was a killer deal.
