An oasis in the middle of Carcassonne Cité.
Staff very friendly. Room was spacious and next to a beautiful tranquil garden. Very conveniently located in the middle of the Cité yet an escape from the crowds. Could not have been better.

Great Location
The hotel is in the center of the fortified old town of Carcassonne. You will need to be dropped off outside the walls and walk to the hotel. We had garden rooms which were very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was good. It was great being right in the middle of everything.

We loved the Hotel Donjon. Staying in the walled city is magical. The hotel has great views and is very comfortable. We would stay here again. The only downside is that you have to haul your luggage quite a long way up a bit of a cobblestone walk. They send directions but we were still unsure of where to go once we entered the walls. We stopped at the TI and showed them the directions and they were not sure either but gave us directions to the hotel. Just don't pack a lot.We had been on a cruise so we unfortunately had large suitcases.

We went for a long weekend, 3 nights which is just about right. Hotel restaurant was closed and we were not advised of this at time of booking. Plenty of places to eat, the stand out being Comte Roger just around the corner, amazing food and good service
