Dissappointed
I chose the EconoLodge for the amenities (price was a secondary concern). I was looking forward to the hot tub and exercise room. The pool and hot tub were closed indefinitely. I was offered a pass to swim across the street at the Best Western, but I didn't want to cross the street in my bathing suit. The climate control in the exercise room was stuck at 84 degrees, the bike had a broken pedal, and there was no way to clean the equipment. The elevator was out of order (waiting to be replaced), so I had to lug my suitcase up the stairs. The screen on my in-room air conditioner was gross.

Good and not so good.
The price of the rooms was very good. The hotel was dated and going through repairs at the time of our stay. The staff was friendly.

It sucked. Thought I used my free night for one. Then she was rude to me when I asked about it. Plus pool was closed. It is not Baymont anymore. It is Econolodge

no frills stay
I needed a no-frills place to stay the night as i was in town for my father's funeral and just needed a place for the night (not looking for a lot of amenities). Getting in after dark was a little tricky due construction (next door) and it was a little confusing on where to enter. I had some issues at check-in as the afternoon desk clerk registered someone else under my reservation. The night clerk, Sherry, made everything right - making sure my room and rates were the same as my reservation. But after a long day and a couple hours of driving I was ready to check-in not wait. The room was fine although bathroom and AC could use some updating. I didn't need it but if I had been looking for a pool I would have been disappointed as the pool was out of commission. Breakfast was fine, could use some more fruit choices.

Old is one thing, filthy is another.
Dirty. We stopped for the night on a long road trip. Couldn’t give my son a bath because the tub was disgusting. The sheets were dirty, and the mattress cover underneath was even dirtier and had tears in it, so it would be useless if there were bed bugs. The carpet was sticky. The room smelled musty, like old smoke, even though it was supposed to be nonsmoking. I canceled our reservation to stay there on our return drive.
