New management = bad management.
The hotel was under construction, so a little messiness was understandable. However, that does not excuse housekeeping from cleaning the room. Also, they used to have a chair or couch in the room. It has been removed and replaced with a bench for your suitcase. There is no place to sit, just the bed and desk chair. As far as the construction goes, the hotel booked us in a room with construction right outside our door. At 9:00 AM the workers are pounding on the wall outside our room. We stay in Tulare often. This hotel is off our list. Even after the construction is finished, i will not stay there.

It was a last minute 1 night stay on our return from Sequoia to L.A. The receptionist was v helpful and friendly. We got the 1 king bed plus sofa bed. Room was huge, with a small dining table, microwave oven and mini fridge . Bed was v comfortable, but the sofa bed was not. It creaks with any small movement and you could feel the springs poking onto you. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation work due to change of management. So expect noise and work during the day in the common areas like lobby, corridors outside the room, etc.

Great place to stay
The bed was nice, and the room was really very clean and nice, the construction really wasn’t a big deal. The breakfast was fine, but they need a new waffle maker and maybe another one. Too many of these hotels have only one waffle maker and it takes too long to get one. This one was STICKY and no matter how much oil you use, it sticks. The bedroom was fine, nice and clean, but the pillows were awful. They need to buy new pillows, as the ones we had were lumpy and you can tell they have been washed and reused. We also have been encountering very SHORT toilets! These are not great for older people and they should all go back to standard height toilets. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend staying here but take your own pillows and don’t count on a waffle for breakfast.

Very nice stay
We stayed at this hotel for 3 days to see the Sequoias. The room was very comfortable and spacious, the bathroom was very nice. The breakfast was great. Lorena in the breakfast area was very welcoming, one of the nicest people I've ever met. All the staff were very helpful. After checking out, about 200 miles down the highway, on our way to our next destination, my girlfriend realized she left her rosary (prayer necklace) in the room. I called the hotel and spoke with Khushbu at the front desk. She located it, and mailed it back to us. It was waiting for us when we got home. Thank you so much, Khushbu, for going out of your way, and taking the time to do that for us. We would not hesitate to stay here, if we're ever in the area again. The staff made our stay here a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
