Wonderful Stay and Beautiful Grounds
This was honestly the highlight of our trip to Scotland. We started by having afternoon tea upon arrival, which I highly recommend. It was so much more than I was expecting, and was more of a lunch with the amount of food they give. I do wish we had cream with the tea, but it was good without it as well. Check-in was smooth and we had help with our bags up the stairs as our room was close to the top of the staircase. The room in the castle was fantastic, very roomy, big bathroom (with a tub), and comfy bed (though a little soft for what I'd normally prefer). The room also had a very good view. The only negative was that there wasn't enough water for two showers, and as there were two of us this was a small issue. Not entirely sure why that was, but I'm assuming the water runs from tanks and they were emptied, that was the only negative the whole stay though. Dinner in the Dungeon was started with drinks and appetizers in the Library Bar which was fantastic. The dinner was delicious, and while the options are slightly limited, it was all so very good (the pan-fried Turbot was fantastic). Breakfast was also very good. I loved that the hot options were made to order rather than just sat out with the cold items. Wish we could have used the spa facilities, but we didn't have time and they were fully booked for their treatments. Would HIGHLY recommend staying here, and cannot wait to plan a trip back here.

Treated like royalty in a Scottish castle
Loved every minute of our stay here and we didn't even have time to take advantage of the complimentary spa services. The staff was delightful and the food was fabulous. The castle itself is well maintained and everyone was very happy to show us around. The Scottish countryside surrounding it is everything someone could want for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. We only had one night but when (and I say 'when' not 'if') I go back, I'll book a longer stay so that we can take part in some of the activities and spa services. A fabulous place! I highly recommend it!
