A Knightsbridge gem
What a wonderful gem in the heart of Knightsbridge. From the front desk to the concierge to the bar, everyone is so friendly and helpful. Graham at the concierge desk knows everything about London. The very knowledgeable Kamil and the lovely Martina in the bar will make your evening a nice ending to the day. Kamil will make you a drink you've never heard of, and you'll ask for another! And Asif, the food and beverage director is a delight for an evening talk. Our room was a perfect size, well maintained by the housing staff. We've stayed in many hotels in London but this is now our "go to" destination. Incredibly convenient and any easy walk to all Knightsbridge has to offer. We could not have been more pleased. Staff was great here. Nice to come back to a room where they remembered your name when you walk in.

Good for the money.
I chose this hotel for its location and it certainly was a terrific spot to be if you like shopping at the major department stores. The linen and towels were first rate as well as the bed. The bathroom was a bit too small and the heater was so close to the toilet that it was impossible not to burn yourself while using the commode. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay

Staying at this hotel is a Capital idea
Wonderful traditional hotel. Rooms reasonable size and well appointed. Management and concierge went out of way to help with problems or get into restaurant where difficult to get a reservation.

Fabulous Modern Hotel
Great place but showing a little wear in the room

I always enjoy staying at The Capital. I always expect the best, which is perhaps why, when there are failures to live up to the expected high standards, they annoy me more than they should. I offer two examples of this: luke-warm coffee in the restaurant and excessive noise from the kitchen (in fact, the back-and-forth between the kitchen and dining-room staff is the loudest thing in the whole hotel). Apart from these two gripes, everything remains very good.

The staff of the hotel was outstanding. The rooms look worn and tired. Carpets in halls were fraying and water pressure in shower was dreadful. Nevertheless, great location and wonderful staff.

Location is great, staff is friendly. They should have coffee and tea in the room. And room service for coffee didn’t show up. Rooms are small. Restaurant atmosphere deadly.

Fabulous location for shopping, perhaps the friendliest staff we have ever encountered, wonderful room (upgrade to junior suite), super-comfortable bed. Smaller hotel, which is what we wanted. But...beyond breakfast we were unable to enjoy any of the other hotel services. Could not enjoy dinner nor tea, and squeezed into the bar area one afternoon. Would have preferred to know the significant importance of reservations at the venues (were left literally scrambling for dinner one evening). Bottom line, we enjoyed a sleeping site in a wonderful location with absolutely top end staff but were left short of the 'other things' we might expect from a hotel.
