Good but should be better
I truly question how this hotel is rated as five stars. There are so many gaps in service and the overall experience. The hotel has pretty aspects like the lobby ceiling but many things miss in a big way. The food in the restaurants is not as good as it should be and they aren’t cheap. The steaks at the table next to us were cold when they came out. My salmon wasn’t cooked. Our waitress literally tossed the breadbasket on the table hitting my wine glass and almost causing a disaster (with no awareness or apology). You would expect more when paying $75-100 per person for dinner. The decor of the hotel feels dated in a non trendy way... more like dated and worn. The bathrooms are tiny and not accommodating unless you are on the 6th floor and even there, they lack proper storage but the suites are nice. We stayed in a suite and were less than pleased by this and the incessant noise from the street outside on the second floor. I noticed a note on the table that said, “free earplugs to keep Portland quiet.” It helps to not have a room on the second floor facing the street. The 6th floor is much nicer and much more pricey. We did talk to the hotel about these concerns and they were very accommodating.

Clean, convience, great service and large rooms. Amenities in the room at the end of the hall were nothing special. Chips and snacks that are not very Healthy. Not 21st century quality.
