What a Disappointment
We understand that in staying in Paris for the price we paid, this was not going to be a 5-Star hotel, but what a disappointment. Chief complaint was the bathroom, which was very small and had the tiniest shower ever. Husband could barely fit in it and could not bend down to wash his feet. The first morning, water pressure completely died twice and water ran cold to lukewarm. Not a problem on following days. Toilet leaked onto the floor (clean water, thank goodness) every time it was flushed, and we had to have towels on the floor to not step in water (room 27). There is a ledge that runs around the hotel room itself, near the floor, as well as in the bathroom. It was covered in dust in the room. When I checked the bathroom, that ledge was covered in dust and HAIR. Disgusting. Looks like it hadn't been wiped in months. The sheets were clean and the staff was nice, although we were told by one staff member the night prior to checkout to let them know 15 minutes before we needed a cab and they'd summon one. The morning we checked out, a different staff member indicated she would do this for us. After waiting 15 minutes, we checked with her and were told she hadn't been able to reach anybody...and then started trying again. We left, frustrated, dragging our luggage through the streets, and flagged down a cab after ten minutes. Fire alarm went off one night at 11:40 p.m. and we evacuated. Fire department never came and we weren't notified what happened. At least it worked.

So let me start by saying the staff was amazing. However this place was disgusting. I didn't check for bed bugs, but I should have. Instead I woke up with several bites all over my body. When I reached out to staff, they investigated and immediately found a full grown bug filled with blood. Over the course of the next few days, my bites tripled because I'm sensitive to their bites. I had over one hundred bites all over my body, mostly on my upper body, face, and neck. I felt hideous. The only thing they did for me was refund the second night that I did not stay. I was never refunded for the first night that resulted in my bites. I also wasn't refunded for the second hotel I had to buy, for the shuttle to the hotel, for the laundry I had to do to make sure I didn't bring bed bugs with me, or for the several ubers I had to take just to get to the closest laundromat. I only had one day to explore Paris and the experience took away the entire day because I had to deal with the hotel, find another hotel, and do my laundry. The only good thing was how sweet the lady at the desk was. The refund issue and cleanliness does not fall on her, and she did her job as well as she could. However I would advise staying away from this hotel! A sweet staff isn't worth it!!

No Air Conditioner at all in the hotel. We asked for a fan but they were all out, and they said whatever they have are broken. The first night we were so miserable, we left the windows open but had to sleep in the buff, so I'm sure the opposite building had an eyeful. The next night we had to buy our own fan. If you sat on the couch, you feel like you're going to fall off because the cushion is so old and lopsided. It feels dirty. The breakfast breads were good. The cheese okay. The cold cuts were bad. They had scrambled eggs and sausage and they were in an iron cast pots on top of a warmer, but they weren't warm at all. The shower was clean but the in between the sink and shower glass was really dirty. The glass on the shower is so narrow that you get the floor so wet by the time you finish showering. I think if you were an 8 year old you could get away with a 15 inch glass panel, but adults, you'll get the floor wet. There was no safe in the room. Every time you would leave the hotel, they ask you to turn in your key. The staff did the obligatory Bon jour! but no one asked how the room was or if you need anything. We kept asking for a fan but they kept saying no, there was one, pointing directly at their desk on the 2nd day, I guess customer comes last, because we asked again for the fan, and they said no.

Bed bugs
The worst hotel I ever stayed . Pictures don’t do any justice it’s small and run down place . The day we checked in the elevator was broke and we had carry our luggage to the 4th floor. Very unfriendly staff . After two days of staying my son and I had bed bugs bite all over . Also another insect bite as well . Went and complained to front desk they said they did not know about this and they will check the room . I suffered a lot I had go to the hospital and get medicine . I am planing to lodge complaint to hotels .com and see what necessary steps they would take . Pls don’t waste your money and get sick . True it’s cheap and I paid the price for it .

Just Ok
It wasn't a bad place - but not a place I would stay again. There was a certain charm to it; breakfast was not bad (hot eggs, sausage, an assortment of breads and cheese - which was nice) and the person at desk (yes, in the singular) was generally helpful. For American travelers, some things that might throw you off: no AC (yes, I should have checked) which would have been fine if it hadn't been as hot as it was; one outlet for any electronics; instant coffee in the room (dear Lord, we are in Paris!). I had hoped for a nicer location - again, my bad, I should have checked. While close to Eiffel tower (and to nearby bus and subway), it was not a tourist friendly area. my room was facing the street so it got very loud if you had the window open (which you kinda to with the heat).
