Good for the price.
Hotel was a little dirty, nothing awful but definitely not super clean. Cobwebs on our balcony, empty cup left in balcony. Hotel hallways were a little dirty but there were a lot of kids there the night we stayed.

Disgusting experience.
This hotel was pretty gross. There were clearly uncleaned floors in the hallway, our room had several things in the room that made us think there was not a lot of attention to detail - animal hair caked into the rug (which caused allergies to flare), a broken drawer front that was dangerous for our toddler, the desk chair had an arm dangling off it with sharp edges from where it had broken, the curtains were stained, the whole room smelled very musty, the whole hotel smelled like people smoking various things - and we saw several people smoking indoors and outdoors during our stay despite the several signs at every door saying no smoking. It smelled like weed and there were people vaping at breakfast. Breakfast had mediocre food at best including no fresh food (no fruit or yogurt). Several areas of stains on walls in the room. This seems like it may have been a nice hotel in its day, but little attention paid to anything surrounding cleanliness and nobody enforcing the no smoking rules. Note: we stopped on our way through Chicago and chose it on a whim for indoor pool and room with an extra bedroom. It served that purpose although the pool was very overpopulated, so didn’t get to enjoy. We passed extremely nice neighborhoods on our way, which is why our experience surprised us even more. It definitely was not worth the money paid for the room, but we had a safe place to sleep for the night. Experience was 1.5 to 2 star at best.

Under construction but work in progress!
The property is under construction and requires some maintenance. A coffee spill in the hallway remained there for our entire stay even though it was brought to the attention of several staff. The wifi was awful until our third day; however the beds were comfortable and the staff friendly.
