The room has never been updated - old furniture, old bathroom, limited internet. I was surprised that a resort had a hotel room and overall establishment in this condition. Even the door to the resort was broken.

Disappointed
When I checked in the lady working the front desk was speaking very sharply to the guest in front of me, who was a senior citizen. The employee kept rolling her eyes impatiently. I booked two rooms because we had 3 adults in our party. I checked in with my husband and 18 year old daughter and the lady looked at me and said in a low voice, said, “I assume he is your husband?”The rooms could not be further apart and on different floors. We asked for rooms closer and we were told nothing was available. The parking lot was practically empty. The elevators were not working, the pool was in a state of disrepair. The doors to the outside had been stripped of the locks. The railings were rusted out. The carpets were not vacuumed. There was a gator parked just outside the side door full of trash. The TV remote in our room did not work.

Overnight at LGR
Lakeview Golf Resort is going through an upgrade at the moment. The place is dated but clean. The lobby reception area has been updated and they were working on tiling of the pool area as I write this. The staff were great, big smiles polite and very helpful. I would stay here again to see the progress as it happens. This place is a goldmine if it's done right. With my son now attending WVU this could be our home away from home.

Not suitable for Guests !
This hotel is currently under renovation and should not be available for guests to stay at this time . I planned a trip to stay here as a gift for my husband for our anniversary . We got married at Lakeview in 2019. This place has gone downhill since and since being bought out. We took our two children with us which I planned go swim with them while my husband golfed... both pools were closed because of renovation. Its advertised there pools but they did not even have the indoor one open. This was very disappointing as my husband planned to golf both days we were there and there was nothing for me and the kids to do.... also the hallways and rooms were soo dirty . My son is crawling and he was on the floor of our room when I spotted a dead mouse . They didn't seem to care or do anything about this . The carpet in our room also smelled like pee and the hallways looked like they had not been cleaned in years. It was downright gross . I get being under renovation to make the place better but they should yaks care of the area and rooms they are currently using for hotel guests !!

Decided to stay for the weekend as we were visiting cheat lake. The hotel is very outdated. Our bed was sunken in the middle. There is ZERO info given when booking or on their website about renovations so the pools were not open. Nothing offered or shown in pictures was even close to the reality of this place. I will say thank god at least one restaurant was open on the property and the server / bartender was amazing ! She made our stay at least a little more enjoyable!

This was obviously at one rime a very nice resort. Sadly the place has been nehlected and is in a syate of disrepair. The room we syayed in had extensive water damage on the ceiling and most of the ceiling paint haf fallen on the floor and furnature. When we told yhe staff it seemed to be no big deal. All we got was an ok we will tell maintenance
