Garden Court Hotel, Palo Alto
Superb boutique hotel minutes from Stanford.
The hotel was fantastic! The valet parking people, the front desk people, every one was super helpful and friendly. And it was a very short drive from Stanford - we were attending a conference there so proximity was important. The Garden Court delivered on all counts.

Lots to Love About the Garden Court
This is my go-to place when I'm in the Bay Area. Rooms are great, location ideal, and the staff is quite helpful. And they put out great breakfast options each morning. I must have stayed there fifty times over the past decade, and not once has it disappointed.

Elegant boutique hotel in downtown Palo Alto
The Garden Court is a charming boutique hotel in Downtown Palo Alto. The hotel has a gracious feel, elegant but comfortable. The room is traditional with modern touches. The continental breakfast buffet served on every floor in the morning is a great way to start the day: mini-quiches, croissants and danishes, orange juice, and tea and coffee. Service is professional. Love staying here, will be back again whenever I am on the Peninsula.

Noisy New Years and Outdated
The rooms, along with the service, are great. Everyone addresses you by name, is prompt to reply, and follows through with your requests. But, first impressions are everything and, while walking through a dirty outdoor front lobby and into a rickety old elevator, I was grossed out by the time we even made it to the room. Which was nice and clean, but not the firsts thing you see. The hotels banquet room on the second floor was rented for New Year's Eve and the hotel allowed a DJ to blare music until 1am that literally shook the bottled waters on our nightstand and didn't allow us to sleep until the party was over; surprising for a 4 star hotel. The WI-FI barely worked the whole stay either, which made getting business done near impossible.

Rooms were very nice and comfortable. Staff from the valet to the front desk were very courteous.
