Dissatisfied stay
This was my second stay at Yotel this year. We had a leaky shower on both occasions, very clearly a production fault or poor installation(s). We stopped 2 nights. I struggled with the bedding - I’m not sure what blend of fabric it was but it made myself and my partner very uncomfortable. On morning of our last day at 7.30am IN THE MORNING I could hear constant knocking for at least 5 minutes. It sounded like someone had been locked out and they was banging to get back in. After being patient enough and the banging continuing for over 10 minutes, I lost my temper and stormed outside. To find it was a contractor repairing something. At 7.30 in the F***ING MORNING. I was that angry that I genuinely couldn’t speak to the front desk when checking out as It wouldn’t have been a pleasant or polite conversation.

Yotel in Clerkenwell was a great location and made my work trip easy. There are several options for working in the hotel. The rooms are efficient and beds are comfy! I will definitely be back!

Good but...
Our trip was delayed by train strikes and initially the hotel was very flexible and kept our room for the second night. Then in the morning they sent a short message giving us less than an hour to confirm we still wanted the room or they would give it away and still charge us. In the end we got the room but was a really unecessary stress! The room was a great size, very comfortable. Two issues with the room were the glass walls / door for the toilet which, though frosted, leaves little to the imagination. Second issue was the rainfall showerhead leaked towards a light fitting. I reported it to the reception desk on checkout and they were apologetic and promised to look at it straight away.

Nice stay overall
The hotel is very modern. The room is small but efficient, comfortable, and clean. No coffee machine or teapot. You have to pay by the cup at the front desk. It's would be nice if the hotel can provide some touristy information such as brochures etc.

Incredibly helpful and nice employees !!
The employees are the best part of the whole experience !! There was a young man at the front desk called Numan with a great disposition and personality. He could not have been nicer or friendlier or more helpful or compassionate even if he tried. Aprille was another young lady working at the front reception who went out of her way to help with anything and everything and she also deserves mention. The lounge and bar area are great places to laze around in. The rooms are very clean but have no windows that one can open which makes the rooms extremely stuffy inside. I don't think I have ever stayed in such a small room which makes it so difficult to move around inside them. You only have one option and that is lying on your bed. You cannot swing a cat inside the room, let alone a mouse. The bathroom also opens directly into the bedroom which is difficult if there are two of you and one of you makes a #2. It becomes very smelly and without a window, the smell can linger. In fact, when one person makes a #2, the other person has to get out of the room for at least half an hour. The rooms are very well organized and clean but their tiny size puts one off. Very close to the underground and train system which are a three-minute walk away. Makes it easy to get around London and there is easy access to airports so no need for expensive taxis. The best part about the hotel is the employees and worst part is the tiny room !! The hotel is very expensive for what one gets !!
