Have you ever gotten ready in the dark?
I checked in last Sunday late, seemed like a $49 Reno strip hotel with a hand painted sign on the stucco and the old one painted over in a different color..but Palo Alton is expensive..so I figured that is what $170 gets there. the single elevator was gross, but the room was large, bed was OK and it was late. I got up for work at 5:30 and when I turned the light on in the bathroom it tripped the gfi breaker for the bathroom and adjacent vanity. I tried a few times, same result and called the desk where I was told there was nothing they could do..unapologetically. I showered and got ready in the dark, packed my stuff and left. the light in the stairwell was also out and the old gross red carpet reaked of wet cigarettes smoke. after work I checked in down the street and noticed I had left my cell charger in the room. I called, they said it hadn't been turned in but would check. I asked for a manager to call me and left my number. after work the next day I stopped there and as expected, my charger had not been found..my room was rerented and I again asked for the manager to call. it is Thursday night, I just got home five days later, guess who I never heard from..Don`the stay here. this is a great neighborhood that doesn't deserve a garbage hotel managed like this.

The breakfast was very limited and unattended. The laundry room was out of order the full 7 days of my stay.

Old but convenient hotel
Old hotel with a nice location. Free breakfast was a nice touch and everyone was kind, but the room had a tube tv and a very old feel. Not necessarily dirty, but needs updating.

Pretty comfortable with a couple of annoyances
Good service, comfortable bed, fantastic shower. There were just a few things that detracted slightly from the stay. The TV was a small, old one (think with a tube - no flat screen) that didn't work very well. The remote only worked some of the time (I had to punch in the channel numbers because the channel +/- button didn't work). The first morning I was there the coffee maker blew a fuse which meant that the bathroom light and fan wouldn't turn on. Overall, these things were fixed or livable, but detracted from things enough that I can't give this place a perfect rating.

Courteous staff and comfortable room.
The staff was very accomodating to make changes as needed. The king size room was very spacious and comfortable. However, the carpets could use a good cleaning... Very quiet location. Update photos online.
