Couldn't have asked for more!!!
This was simply a longer weekend that my husband and I planned in The Red Wing area. Our stay at the Nichols Inn at Hastings was wonderful. Staff was pleasant and helpful to us, providing suggestions for dining and local attractions. Our room was super clean, bed was more comfortable than ours at home and pillows were luxurious!. I, personally, always look for extras that indicate that when a room was initially furnished, thought was put into it. We were so pleased that all of our lamps, included outlets on their bases, for simple things like charging phones, my husband's C-Pac, etc. No searching for outlets or crawling around on the floor to plug something in!! I have NEVER stayed in a hotel where their amenities of soap, shampoo and conditioner were of such wonderful quality. When using the hand soap, it was as though the hotel had "soft water!" We all know how disgusting hard it can often be to even get any type of suds using "hotel soap. I realize that these are small thoughtful additions, but for us, it added convenience to our stay. Great selection of breakfast, which included make your own waffles and OMELETS! We would definitely recommend this Inn for a great night (s) stay. We will be back~~

Nichols Inn of Hastings, Hastings
The hotel looks nice, it is clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast also better than average. The price charged seemed too high for the tiny room. There was a fridge but no microwave. No Kleenex in the bathroom that was outdated, towels very thin and rough. Minimal decoration, not what I expect for a $110/night room. I would look for a different hotel if I was back in that area.
