Great location but needs upgrades
The hotel room smelled like cigarettes and booze. The bathroom lighting fixture was flickering on and off. Bathroom rod was coming off the wall. I asked for another room was not able to be changed. They also said a maintenance worker would be by to fix the lighting problem. No one ever came. With everyone I spoke with had some kind of unwillingness to help. Random people would be walking in and out. There was hardly any one at the front desk during evening hours..

The front desk was closed when we arrived. We had to keep calling for them to let us in. We were exhausted and it was a bit unsettling to know we had paid, but weren’t sure we’d be able to get into the hotel.

The staff was always friendly and accommodating with anything I needed and with other customer requests I saw as well. I chose this location for its proximity to Allstate Arena where I was going to a series of concerts for 3 nights. I walked to and from the venue each time, saving me tons on transportation costs. The route to Allstate is against a Main street with a sidewalk the whole way before turning into a shopping center. As always exercise caution at night, especially if it’s really late. The nearby shopping center has a Target and tons of food options, including a 24 hour Subway. The room was clean and very adequate and huge. The kitchenette is such a nice bonus and a way to save on dining costs as well. I read about the linen/towel 1-for-1 exchange policy before going so that wasn’t a surprise. I saw before my flight that the front desk is not 24 hours, so as I was coming in on a late flight, I would have gotten there after their close time. I had to spend hundreds on a flight change but it was less than finding another place to stay last minute. The grab and go breakfast is granola bars, muffins, coffee…it was fine for me. The hallways smelled, sometimes of different types of smoke. I didn’t hear anyone through the walls when I was there. Would book again!
