The Location - The Shouse property is situated on Lemon Tree Passage Road on a large block of land.Perfect for the corporate traveller or family holiday being approximately seven minutes drive from Newcastle Airport, but no in the flight path, it makes for an easy trek centered between the hustle of Newcastle and the serenity of Nelson Bay. It is less than 5m from the Tilligerry Creek, you can drop a kayak from the rear of the property or, to launch a small boat, you can access the creek at a small boat ramp just 300m up the road, just before the tennis courts on an unmarked single bitumen lane. A larger boat ramp is situated on Cook Parade in Lemon Tree Passage. There is a large grassed area at the property and also a fenced children's playground just up the road, where you could drop a line while the children safely play. The closest shop to grab a few essentials is at 'The Pit Stop' on Nelson Bay Road less than 4km away, here you will find a petrol station, bakery/take-away, fresh fruit and veg and a bottle shop. Also on Nelson Bay Road is the fantastic Oakvale Wildlife Park 2.5km away and Fighter World Aviation just seven minutes from the door. Tanilba Bay Shopping Centre is 9.5km from the cottage with Coles, Liquorland, Dominoes etc and the Golf Club is only 8km down the road. There are many dining options including the local RSL and Bowling Clubs which both have courtesy buses and are both family friendly. Lemon Tree Passage and the Marina is 12km away, offering a small selection of shops, eateries and the picturesque Mangrove Boardwalk where you might be lucky to spot a Koala. There is a fabulous French restaurant at the Lemon Tree Passage Marina called 'The Poyers' which has an excellent reputation in Port Stephens. The township of Nelson Bay is a further 27km away. The House - This fantastic single level cottage is set on a peaceful plot of land in the countryside of Salt Ash. There is a huge covered outdoor area that stretches the entire length of the house and fitted with outdoor furnishings and a gas BBQ perfect for alfresco dining on those balmy summer nights. Step inside and guests are greeted to an open floor plan consisting of a kitchen, dining and lounge area. The lounge area offers a three piece lounge suite with a flatscreen TV and pedestal fan, with the dining table offering six chairs and the modern kitchen presents itself well with an island bench, stainless steel fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, stand alone oven with a gas stove top. The cottage features two bedrooms one with ceiling fan and both with flatscreen TV's including built in DVD player. Bedroom one has a queen size bed and the other a tri bunk (double on the bottom and single on the top) and a single bed. The bathroom and laundry are combined and feature a top loading washing machine, glass shower, vanity and toilet. The property provides a carport and offstreet parking for your boat or kayak (please do not park on the grass). There are definitely smoke alarms at the property.
