Hotel was fine shuttle service they use is horrid
The hotel itself was fine except for the first room we were put in smelled badly of cigarette smoke. We were moved to a new room without a problem. Breakfast provided was ok, nothing to rave about but nice to have before starting a busy day at theme parks. The worst thing I have to say about it is the shuttle company the hotel uses is sooo bad. Kimo is the worst driver ever, I never feared for my life or my kids life before. He was swerving so bad and almost shady like. He would be laughing at customers as they were always late from pick up at night from the Disney parks. We were there for a week and every night we waited at least 45 minutes. Then after waiting out there with my two small children he’d sent a charter bus that was pretty old and instead of telling people to get in line he would just tell a part of the group so people who were waiting for hours would get left in the dark. This happened to us were I was out in the cold and people just rushed to the busy w/o waiting there turn. I complained to the manager Javier on the night where Kimo nearly killed us and he said he’d email his manager which he never did. Then on a rainy night where we were left out to get soaked I complained again to Javier and he had asked who I wanted to speak to which he should have know. Since he supposedly emailed her already. He said the shuttle service isint there responsibility that I should complain to the shuttle manager. Which is another reason for this bad review.

Exceptional 10.0
At the last minute, my spouse and I decided to visit the Orlando area to tie the knot. Upon sharing the idea with family, I was told to use Homewood Suites as our lodging choice. We were met with a friendly, courteous and helpful staff from the very beginning. They were helpful in fulfilling our needs and answering our various questions. Though thanks to a very busy schedule, we did not engage in the evening social and, only once, used the complimentary breakfast, they were available and a much appreciated amenity that added to the overall luster of this Homewood Suites. Very enjoyable stay from start to finish. This trip was for my spouse and I to get married and spend time on an impromptu honeymoon. The hotel and staff were not aware of this and we didn't feel the need to share this with the staff because it would look like a feeble attempt to secure special treatment or some sort of swag. We just preferred to stay low key and enjoy our stay. Homewood Suites played a major part in our most enjoyable experience. We plan on returning in the near future and wouldn't think of using another lodging choice. Thank you Homewood Suites.

Good Hotel could be Better... if not BEST!
I'll start of by saying that I am very meticulous when it comes to hotel rooms especially when traveling with my kids, so this goes without saying that I researched numerous reviews on this hotel before I eventually booked… Generally, the hotel is in a prime area just of international drive, so you can walk to many nearby restaurants, attractions etc.The overall feel of the place is a fun, relaxing atmosphere, especially after being in the parks the entire day, and the staff are quite accommodating making you feel quite welcome! Breakfast is sufficient but not enough seating, also ran into some rude guests on more than one occasion who just pushed other people out of the waffle line... Unfortunately, even with all the positives going for this hotel we had an unpleasant experience with our first room that was quickly taken care of by management…We were moved to another room and although we had no access to our suitcases we were provided with necessities and compensated for items bought during this time. Overall, The HomeWood Suites gives you great value for money and its in a fantastic location, however I would advise them to be a bit more meticulous with their cleaning, especially when guests check out of the hotel,( we found some sticky residue on the blue ottoman when it was pulled out from under the table, candy paper behind the lamp in the bedroom area, pieces of cookie by the sofa, all this was observed when we entered…) you never know what they can leave behind!

Not bad!
We stayed here recently for our Xmas and New Years holidays. We arrived after travelling for approx. 11 hours in total so we were looking forward to getting into our room and relaxing. Check in was fine, no issues. However, when we got to our room we noticed that the room was not after getting a proper clean. Firstly we found leftover food in our microwave, and then we found lots of human hair on the sheet ,of the pull out sofa bed. The room, to be honest, felt kind of dirty in general. My wife, who was extremely upset about these issues then called down to reception to air her grievances. At first the person that was sent to our room offered us candy for the kids, which kind of confused me. The same person then offered to move us to another room, on the same floor. We were so tired that, we reluctantly agreed. To be honest, had we not have been paid in full, we probably would have looked to move to another hotel. For the huge inconvenience the hotel staff member also agreed to remove 1 nights stay off of our bill. This still has not come through on our visa statement. We were told to then contact I don’t want to make it sound that this was a completely disastrous stay in this hotel but it was a poor to start a holiday. Positives...,the staff are very courteous and will go out of their way to help you with pretty much anything. The pool area, while small-ish, is still quite nice and functional. Hotel location is very good. Free wi-if was also great to have.

Nice but BEWARE!
Stayed for 21days on this property in August 2019. Our stay was splendid. The property is at the centre of everything Orlando. You are steps away from many attraction centres. You get free breakfast every morning. We had to wait most times to get a seat. There isn't enough seat for guests. You could also take your meal to your room in such instance. Free daily snacks, water and soda for premium guests. Bed is comfortable. The elevator at the right side is sluggish. We used the stairs most times. You may want to request a room on a floor you'd be comfortable using the stairs to get to. The staff, ALL, are helpful and dedicated to make you comfortable as much as they can. There is an Expedia desk at the reception for your attraction centre tickets. I will advise you buy or compare price online before purchasing from the desk. The hotel charges an undocumented $5 for every amazon package. This is not stated in the guest information or any small prints available to guest. You get informed by the receptionist when you receive your package. If amazon ships a single order in 6 packages, hotel bills you $30 ($5 × 6). Shipping agent will only hand your package to the receptionist even if you are present at delivery. You may consider using Amazon locker around. Overall the hotel is a perfect choice for a memorable vacation.
