Pros and Cons
The not so good: check in was a headache. Not having a person on site and using the hotline which took over an hour was not very pleasant. Not sure what exactly was the problem, but we were eventually given the access to the keys. No forms of compensation was provided. The good: The place was as shown on the website. Great view, lots of cooking utensils, adequate gym, spacious beds, nice living room, Superb location etc. Overall an 👍 Experience.

The condition was okay but there is no baseboard in the bedroom and the flooring has big gaps at the bathroom door area. The site is very convenient to Forest Park and central west end. Parking is not convenient and we used strictly street parking at a meter.

This was by far the worse experience I had with a hotel in the US. When we got to the apartment, the room smelled bad and wasn’t clean. There was dirt all over the floor and a lot of dust under the bed. We couldn’t use the closet because it smelled terrible inside. We had to put a towel under the closet door to prevent the smell from coming out. On the second, a high-pitched noise started coming out of the radiator every 3-5 minutes and never stopped. I called Zen City the next morning asking to change rooms. Andrea on the other line said it was not possible, but maintenance was coming. No one came, and I had to call another 3-4 times during the day. By 6 pm, the radiator noise was coming out continuously (I have a video

The unit I was given was roach infested, and had plank flooring missing between the bathroom and hall way. There was a large gap under the entrance door so all kinds of critters could easily crawl in. Did not feel comfortable eating in this unit. I also had bites on me after sleeping on the bed so may have also had bed bugs.

EXTREMELY disappointed and disgusted.
The description of the booking was inaccurate. I booked a two queen bed studio apartment with a separate living area. When we arrived it was a studio apartment, but only had one bed that I would not believe is a queen. There was no couch, only a uncomfortable chair, tiny table and two small chairs. When I contacted Zencity they claimed that on their side the booking stated a one queen bed. He also tried to say that there was a couch and all of their beds were queens. He stated that he had nothing else available and the best he could do was give me a 20% discount. I accepted because I had no other option. I quickly discovered that the entire “apartment” had not been dusted in quite some time. The air conditioner was moldy and the comforter was disgusting. It had hairs and unidentifiable orange matter. I pulled it off the bed to discover blood stains on the other side. I pulled a trash bag out of the closet that had an additional comforter in it. It was damp and covered in mold. I contacted Zencity again and asked for new bedding. He stated that the best he could do was to have some delivered in the morning. Thankfully, my doctor wanted me to check out the next day and return home. Zencity added an additional nights stay of a refund. If you do book with them, know that you’ll be charged the full amount 2 weeks prior to your stay. Their number that they provide for any issues is routed from California and they only answer the phone after 8am California time.
