Alright stay, the room served it's purpose.
The room was nice, and the hotel itself was nice, especially the grand open ceiling reception area and main floor, which provided plenty of cozy seated space for pople to sit and visit while not being crowded or loud. We only had a few minor issues: we were the first room off the door to the back parking lot, and there was a lot of smoking going on outside our room well into the late hours of the night, and as we are not smokers ourselves it wasn't the most pleasant part of the stay. Also the parking lot we had for our room access was very crowded and full, the property could benefit from some extra parking. Adjacent to the parking lot there was a small grassy area across from the hotel which had picnic tables and was unlit at night. For several hours going fairly late there were groups of people either over there or around their vehicles drinking in the parking lot. If it matters to anyone reading this, there is a restaurant, but it is only open for breakfast which does cost. If you want food outside of that, the hotel bar- at least at night served food. We did not opt to eat there though.

Past Its Prime
The clerk at the registration counter was welcoming and efficient. It made me laugh (internally) when she asked if I needed her to explain the term “incidentals.” Guest keys don’t work on the external doors, so they are propped open 24/7. The room had received a superficial cleaning (the folded edges on the all-but-empty roll of tp was a nice touch). Still, it needed the kind of attention that isn’t possible with limited staffing: layers of soap scum in the tub, grime on the damaged heat/air unit, missing handles on the dresser, broken tissue box, etc.… There was a mix-and-match collection of toiletries. Despite its flaws, my room was comfortable and quiet.

The icemaker didn’t work and the carpet was filthy
The website says free airport shuttle service, they do not do that anymore. Our key did not work in our room and we had to wait for maintenance man to fix. The toilet didn’t flush, the TV didn’t work, the clock didn’t work,The icemaker didn’t work and the carpet was filthy. We stayed one day and checked out. We try to get a refund for the rest of the week and they will not give it to us.

Hailey to the rescue!
We did our reservations on Hotels.com. The reservation never came into the hotel. Your clerk Hailey A did a great job at helping me cancel with Booking and even went so far as to talk to them on phone. She then booked us a walk in room. We went to our room and it smelled like there was a smoking party happening in the room. Called Hailey at desk and she came up immediately and then put us in a different room. This room was much better smelling! The heater/air front was rattling the entire room so instead of calling her again we removed the cover and zero noise! Hailey went above and beyond and was back working day shift after being there until 11.
