Nice but could use a few improvements
The hotel was nice but there were a few issues. First our room was very dark and the was no wifi. The location was nice, the restaurant was nice, and the grounds were beautiful.

Not what we signed up for!
We booked our room based on this being a resort, not a hotel. The word "Resort" brings to mind peace, quiet, relaxation, contentment. When we checked in we were placed in a room in the pet section of the resort even though we said we did not have a pet with us. The dogs in the room next door barked non-stop and we asked within an hour to be moved. We were told that there was a large, unexpected group there and this was the only room available. I asked if they were unexpected and I had made reservations months before, why was I the one being placed in a room in the section of the resort that allowed pets in the rooms? Needless to say, the dog barking continued all night long. So, when that large, unexpected group checked out the next morning we asked again to be moved and they did move us to a better room, but they increased our nightly charge and never offered any compensation for the miserable room they placed us in the first place. We have pets and we love them as members of our family, but we didn't bring them half way across the country on our vacation and this resort should have told us up front that we would be placed in a room in the pet owners' section. Bad communication on their part. Be up front with your potential customers when they book a room with your "resort."

Beautiful property!
Beautiful atmosphere and accommodating staff. Stayed for our anniversary which resulted in an engagement. Beautiful time! ;)

Peace
It was very good. Wonderful views and quiet. The only use I had was that they lack in deferred maintenance in our room. One of the screen slider doors was broken, the shower valve back plate was loose and the shower needs to be cocked between the tub and floor. Other wise we enjoyed our stay and would return to Poco Diablo again! Thank you Poco Diablo and staff for a wonderful stay!

How come you blocked the lobby access to the restaurant? Force patrons to walk outside.
