Excellent Mazatlan Hotel
This was my second stay at Hotel La Siesta (October 2016 & October 2017). They were renovating some of the rooms last October and still are in the process of further room renovations, which had no effect on my enjoyment of this wonderful hotel on the edge of the Centro Historico area and across the street from the Malecon and beach. Great area for good restaurants and much quieter and slower pace than the Hotel and Golden Zones of Mazatlan. This visit (total of eight nights) I stayed in a renovated room (third floor) on the southern side of the hotel with a balcony that had a sea view as well as a view of part of the area behind and beyond the hotel. The spacious room was exceptionally clean, with new furniture and furnishings. There is a walk-in closet with plenty of hangers for your clothes and space for luggage. The bathroom was great with good water pressure and hot water in a matter of seconds. The hotel staff are very nice. If your Spanish is not that good, "no problema", as everyone spoke English to various degrees! The attached restaurant, El Shrimp Bucket, is good and I especially enjoyed the breakfast there. Overall, a most excellent hotel in Mazatlan.

Another Nice Stay
Most of the rooms newly renovated. Much nicer than before. Price was good value. Front desk staff excellent. Hotel overlooks Malecon and ocean. Short walk to Centro and Plaza Machado. Many bars and restaurants nearby.

Loved the hotel and staff was very attentive. Morning restaurant crew great and very attentive. Evening crew was terrible and I sat there for about 15 minutes and nobody even asked if I needed anything else, so I asked for the ticket and left.
