Travelodge Resort Darwin, Darwin

My first immpression was how old and tatty the property looked. Our first room had a bad smell and a non functioning aircon. When i approached the staff to ask for it to be investigated they immediately swapped our room, and i felt, went above and beyond to make me feel good about the Travelodge brand. Can't say enough good things about all the staff i encountered, from front desk to cleaners. The pool area was lovely, and my son was thrilled at fast wifi throughout. Location is very convenient downtown, and although they have snacks and drinks available in the lobby there is a Wollies 200 metres away

Beautiful location. Beds a littler harder then preferred.

Loud fights in the hotel both early evening and very early in the morning (4am)

This was really a low-budget motel-type of accommodation, housed behind a gated area. I didn’t feel really comfortable here nor was there much luxury provided. We had to keep asking for a second washcloth each time the maid cleaned our room (as she only left one). Good: it was right across street from a grocery store and they do have a bar and restaurant onsite (though limited hours). Also, there was a frig. I would not stay here again.
