Had one of the most wonderful 4 days in Budapest and for the most part it is due to the wonderful hospitality that was accorded to us by the friendly staff at the hotel. Clean and airy rooms and amazing breakfast

The Aquincum Hotel is a good choice in Budapest. Close by tramway station for connection to city. Hotel is nice, rooms could do with some attention. Bed in our suit very good. Would have preferred the bedroom a bit bigger. Bar, bar food, drinks and service good/very good, pity that restaurant was not open at night for more comfortable seating. Will come again!

The BEST hotel choice in Budapest on a limited budget, especially in view of the included spa access (3 pools, steam, sauna, massage). (Bathrobes and spa slippers are provided with each room and the spa is just a short elevator ride, on level -1.) The buffet breakfast is fantastic and the River Bar offers many excellent traditional Hungarian dishes which are also served in the spa lobby. (Yes, you are allowed to eat wearing your bathrobe while in the spa.) For "foodies" more authentic Hungarian dishes are available at the nearby Kehli Restaurant (opened in 1899) which is literally within 2 minutes' walking distance from the hotel entrance (just follow the GPS). (It gets very busy after 6pm, so reservation or early arrival is strongly recommended.) Even though you have to take a taxi cab to downtown (approx. 10 minutes), the spa services and the excellent Hungarian dishes (at the bar and at Kehli's) more than compensate for the short rides to the sightseeing spots.

Lovely hotel with a great spa at great value. The facilities are a bit outdated but the staff is super friendly and helpful!

I didn't spend a great deal of time at the hotel and would have liked to experience some of their facilities, but the staff was very attentive, a beautiful lobby, great breakfast buffet, the rooms quiet and clean. There seemed to be a lack of plugs for charging/powering multiple devices, and I would suggest new lamps with integrated plugs/usb ports for devices, other than that, a very pleasant few days and I wish I could have stayed longer.

The spa and the pools, sauna, steam bath, etc were amazing, we visited every day. The room was clean, well supplied. The buffet breakfast was convenient. The only thing I missed: a good, real coffee. All coffee was made out of instant coffee and tasted like it.

The Hotel is pretty old and it has signs of being overused, it seems like it requires a new renewal. Since it is a spa hotel it should have a dry sauna, it has only a steam and infrared. Overall the pool area is good and the staff is caring and responsive.

I love this hotel and the amenities. It feels like home since I return to this hotel regularly. During my last stay I did have issues reaching the reception when calling. They seem to be understaffed now as I had to call multiple times before they answered the phone. I hope it will get back to their normal exceptional service level soon. Apart from this I love this hotel, the spa, the kindness of the staff, the bar and restaurant. Great place to stay...

The Aquincum Hotel is a beautiful property. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the Spa was a great extra feature after our 9 hour flight from the states. The only downside was it’s about a ten minute cab ride from the city center. Overall the package rate of room, breakfast and spa plus the $16.00 US cab fare was a bargain compared to higher hotel rates in city center.
