Nice Overnight in Budapest
Amenities were great! Location was very nice. The restaurant could have been better. The Pool and Spa area is very nice. However, the Jacuzzi was not warm. Just my preference.

The staff was the best. I don’t remember any names unfortunately but honestly it doesn’t matter because Literally everyone we spoke with was so nice and friendly and omg so so helpful! This was our first Europe trip and we didn’t know anything. If it hadn’t been for the help of this one young gentleman, we would’ve been very lost in the city! The staff was great and knowledgeable (even the lady who had just started working there knew what she was talking about and guided us a lot) cleanliness was good but the two things that are holding me back from giving it a five star review is the food (it wasn’t all that great.. try to eat out and avoid the hotel food if possible) and the beds! They were Droopy in the middle and not the best quality. I expected at least standard quality beds but unfortunately they were below average at best. But if you don’t mind either of those things then it’s a great place to stay. We were there for three nights and having the bus station not even two minutes away is a major plus too.

Nice hotel
THE hotel is in a good Location, especially if you have a car. The room was clean. Some parts of the hotel could use a update, dirty carpets and wallpaper. The staff very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast buffet worth paying for. I would recommend this place. Give it 4 stars. Would be 5 if it was a little cleaner and updated.

Poor 2.0
The rise and fall of Aquincum hotel.
Used to be a 5 star hotel. We stayed @ this property a few times before & it was fine. We always stayed on the Executive floor. Now the hotel is totally run down. Filthy carpets, broken air conditioners in most rooms, broken showers, holes in the towels and poor WIFI. One of the three pools is rented out to a swim school and the jacuzzi never works. The pool and spa is full with day visitors. This hotel was just downgraded to a 4* but deserves no more than 3 at the most. The general manager never even acknowledged our complaints. We spent lots of money for lots of aggravation at this hotel. A real shame what happened to Aquincum throughout the years. We'll never stay here ever again!
