Recent upgrade a real downer
The recent upgrade is a real downgrade. The beautiful historic inn lobby has been replaced by a soulless modern one, and the breakfast area now offers you the ambiance of a bad airport where you can pay $5.50 for the kind of latte available from a machine most places for $1. All with for a new "resort fee" that does not appear in the base price. Used to be one of my favorite places to stay in DC, sadly no more.

It’s Better
Love this place and now that they have remodeled I think it’s even better. Kept the key staff and improved the bar and amenities

For the price and location it was great. The room was small, but nice, no view, but the staff was great. The Society of the Cincinnati is next door, very interesting short tour.

Updated but still special
This is a special hotel. We always haved loved it because it was old fashioned , with high end service. Now they have modernized the public spaces and it is still a friendly, wonderful place to stay

Another great stay
Fantastic historic property near Dupont Circle and Georgetown. Needs to add room service but aside from that my complaints are few
