Nice stay
I have been at this hotel twice and enjoyed it more this stay but I don’t really understand why it has a 4 star rating. There is nothing more luxurious or better services than other 3 star hotels I have stayed. Comfortable room, nice service, awesome shower, and expensive parking.

Housekeeping needs to step it up.
We barely had any interactions with the hotel staff, which I found kind of odd. Overall, everything was fine - room was clean, fairly large, and everything seemed ok. What pissed me off was housekeeping. We were there for 3 days, and on the 2nd day, they apparently cleaned the bathtub. When I next went to take a shower, I got sprayed in the face because they left the detachable shower head thingie pointed out, so the entire bathroom got wet as well. Ok, fine, I probably should have checked but was in a hurry. I had also brought along my own toiletries to use, which were in the shower already. When I went to use my body wash, I found that it had been topped off with WATER. Seriously? It's the little things that you always remember about a place and those two items really aggravated me. I booked our room there thinking it would be a little higher class with a really good experience. Not planning on going back - we're in Dallas fairly often and there are plenty of other better hotels to choose from.

Fair 4.0
I booked a "One bedroom Junior Suite" on for a one night getaway for my daughter and I to have some girl time. Upon arriving in the room, I realized that it was not a suite in any way. Called the front desk, got transferred FOUR TIMES, only to get told that this is the third-party reservation app's fault and there was nothing they could do. I was told that only pays attention to whether they have ANY rooms available, and misleads the customer into thinking that the room that is available is more than what it is. In my case, this meant it was missing the whole other half of what was expected. I was lead to believe that I was reserving a suite, with a separate dining table and full-sized sectional. In reality, according to the hotel, I had only reserved a king room. This supervisor explained that "this happens all the time." Normally, I would chalk this up to fault, but the overall way that The Westin handled it was not up to par for their brand. If this is something that happens all the time, why are you still allowing them to book with you? Why has someone not acted as mediator to resolve the problem, instead of just continuing to take the customer's reservations AND MONEY? The least they could have done was allowed me a late check-out, which they refused. They finally gave me an hour later check-out, but despite that the maids started knocking on our door (which had the privacy sign up) at about 15 minutes after normal check-out.
