Just ok
Longest hallways on the planet. Setup of this hotel is strange. there are about 2 miles of hallways needed to get to a room on the second floor. there's not really any other way to access it either. pool is located in a separate building so you have to go outside to go to the indoor pool, again, strange. room was okay. We had a family room, to sleep 4 people. Something that's common in Ireland is to have a double bed plus two twins (which is pretty handy, actually) Luckily we didn't need our room to be adjoining to the next, because the third bed was located in front of the door, so the door was the headboard for the bed (nice to have a doorknob a few inches from your face when you sleep) Squeeze bottles of shampoo attached to walls for shower (weird) ours was empty. I tried calling but no one would answer at any of the extensions I tried (this was at 8:30 am) so i walked all the way down to the front desk. I was told housekeeping doesn't come on until 9am, and that no one else has a key, so there was nothing she could do for me. When she saw I wasn't going to leave, or be satisfied with that response, she gave me the key to a room next to mine to take the bottle from. Breakfast was good, service for breakfast was good.

Great Stay at Hotel Killarney
We booked the family suite at Killarney Hotel. We had big adjoining rooms. The hotel was very nice. The hotel is also super kid friendly. It was a great spot for exploring Killarney National park and also for downtown Killarney.

It Could Have Been Better!
The Hotel Killarney was a very large facility. We stayed in September 2016. It had a great buffet breakfast and wonderful wifi! The bar was good and parking was free. One of the down sides was the walk from our room to the hotel lobby. It took about 5 minutes. That is a long way when you are carrying luggage. The girls at the front desk were very knowledgable about the area but not about the activities of the city. So we had to find out from other people what to do in the city. We of course had a room with no air conditioning. Normally that is ok, but it was a little above the normal temperatures when we stayed. We called the front desk for fans and for someone to come and unlock our window so we could open it. The first call was obviously ignored. So I called back and the second request was answered in about 5 minutes with 2 fans and a guy who unlocked our window so it would open. We also had to drive the car to get to the city center of Killarney, which was a great place to explore. I probably wouldn't stay in this hotel again even though I thought it was nice. It just had too many negatives. The hotel needs to have some seminars for their front desk people to let them know what is going on in their city of Killarney. This is very important for visitors!
