RUN AWAY FAST
Horrible staff and hotel. Do NOT STAY HERE. Staff is rude. The front desk staff is obnoxious and rude. Asked why our 2 rooms were not connected or even on the same floor, even though made under the same reservation number? We were told there was no specific request for the same floor or connecting? True but then I wondered if I should have requested the toilet to be on the same floor also? Walls of room are filthy, beds are hard, pillows are hard and flat. Room was 9 X13, shower was 16"s wide, no hot water, one towel per person, and wall dryer that takes FOREVER. Walls are thin so you hear the neighbors "activities", no view/breeze, brkfst is typical European style-overcooked egg, cold cuts, hard butter, stale bread, some plain yogurt, juice, coffee, and unhappy wait staff. Sewer Flooding
We were in Venice during a high tide. While it is understandable that weather is beyond the hotel staff’s control, they handled it very poorly. First of all, they gave us a room inside a building they knew would flood. The hotel staff didn’t even dare to go in and the receptionist for that annex had already left for the night. Water from the sewer flooded the building and the sewer smell was all over the building. They knew that building was going to flood because they even removed the furniture from the front desk. There was sewer water all over the ground floor and all the guests were trapped. It was unsanitary to even try to get out of the building, not to mention a hazard. When trying to call them about it, they never picked up their phones. When we confronted them about that the next day, they didn’t even apologize for having left us trapped inside a stinky sewer-flooded building. They said it was normal, yet they didn’t dare go inside the night before, but let their guests stay there.

Amazing location!
My husband and I and a couple of our friends stayed here for three nights. The location was amazing. Just steps from San Marcos. The staff were great. So accommodating to any of our requests. However the beds are not the most comfortable.

ok hotel
The first night our room smelled terrible, as to the point we were gagging, it was miserable. The morning they apologized and upgraded us to a better room but it was right above the walkway to the square so it was incredibly noisy all night. Unfortunately we didn't sleep two nights in a row. The second room didn't smell like the first. We were visiting Venice on our honeymoon and couldn't wait to leave, if you're coming for a romantic trip please don't pick this hotel.
