A great location
We have stayed in a number of Blackpool Hotels and this is the best so far. It has impressive views and some beautiful parts of the building. The wifi works in the lobby but not in the rooms we were in. Although there was parking, it was full when we arrived so we used the adjoining Pay and Display Car park. 24 hours cost £10. The hotel was located beside a tram stop which we used to take us into the town centre, approx 10 minutes. The breakfast was good and had all the usual English Breakfast components. All in all a good place to stay although in need of some updating. We will stay again.

Stay clear for the sake of your health and stress
We booked the hotel savoy on a B&B Base for visiting my dad in Blackpool hospital for a cancer operation. Not only were my mother and I was discusted with the room as it was dirty and the maid left dirty towels and one bath towel,it wasn't hovered and the beds were not touched! The breakfast was cold, the tables were dirty and it was cramped, I wouldn't have fed that food to a dog. Stressed with the hotel and obviously worried about my dad, staying here made us both exhausted and run down. Most of the other guests felt the same. We spent a fortune on having to eat out,we didn't sleep or rest and the lounge area was anything but relaxing. It was my brother who had to find alternative accommodation for both of us as we were both feeling poorly at this point, one being a chest infection and the other having a throat infection, so we had no choice and left the hotel early, tired and stressed and feeling ill. I can only recommend that the hotel needs to be taken in hand by a company that knows the meaning of hospitality and hires cleaners who actually clean. It's that or knock it down and start again

Inadequate, dirty and overpriced
Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Our reservation confirmation stated "free parking" however on our arrival we found the car park to be completely full. When requesting advice about this we were told that the car park is on a first come first served basis. The are hundreds of rooms in the hotel and about 30 car parking spaces. We had to park in a public car park which significantly increased the cost of our stay. When we eventually arrived to our room we found that the curtains did not fit the windows, there was a hole in the bathroom door where it appeared to have been punched, and as if that weren't enough we found faeces around the back of the toilet which incidentally took about 5 flushes to work after each use. We have stayed in other Britannia hotels before and have found them to be fantastic value for money. This venue however at £130 per night is nothing short of atrocious.

Lovely 3 day getaway - July '16
luckily, we had 3 days of excellent weather which does improve your impression of a place, but we had a room with nice southerly view of ocean (& Gynn Sq). We only found one lift which was size of wardrobe so could be a prob for some. Will also say shower cubicle (in our room at least) might be a tight squeeze if you are on large side - we aren't (65&78Kgs) and found it a bit restrictive. Didnt eat here so cant comment on food, but do go for a few mins walk north to Genting Casino for excellent evening meals. We only paid 105GBP for 3 nights (parking included), prob cant get a tatty B&B for that. Overall good trip, hotel excellent FOR PRICE.
