Would definitely stay again
My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here. It is a very reasonably priced inn and very central for walking around Dublin and excellent eateries and even a grocery store were easily reachable. The room was spotless and sufficiently large for our needs, which was basically for sleeping after exploring the city. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. There's a nice cafe next door, which was great for morning coffee and freshly baked good. The only downside was the noise at night, which came mostly from traffic and, we later discovered, from people spilling onto the streets from a lounge a few doors down. Obviously, there isn't much management can do ab. this, except for maybe having a friendly talk with their neighbors to try and work something out. Where we live in NY, the bar down the street has a sign out by their outside seating asking customers to keep their voices down and to be mindful of their neighbors. If they achieved this, the place would be perfect.

Try it you'll like it.
Just in town for a couple nights and on a budget. I was going to see a concert at The National Concert Hall and The Leeson is the perfect spot. Very easy three block walk. Perfect price and perfect location.

location
the location is a plus. Plus our room was in front of the street. Sometimes it was really noisy and we couldn't sleep.

Great location for the National Concert Hall...
Very friendly. Not disabled friendly space, but the staff will do everything for you and refuse a tip, however I insisted. The handyman even tightened up all the nuts and bolts on my walker!

Wanted to like it, but couldn't.
After reading reviews on hotels.com, we decided to book the Leeson Inn. We are not very high maintenance, the location was good and we figured how bad could it be? We arrived in the evening and it was okay on the surface-- not awesome, but we didn't pay for a 4-star hotel and didn't expect one. We're not sure how clean it was, but just tried not to think about it. However, we realized later that night there was a bar on the street below our 2nd floor room and due to the type of windows, we basically felt like we were sleeping on the street with the drunken crowd. We didn't go to bed until after bar close. It was way too loud. Worse still, there is something wrong with the water in the hotel, it pulsates when it's being used? In the shower, about every 30 seconds you get a SCALDING blast of hot water. It's very uncomfortable/hurts. We hated showering there. We couldn't get past the noisy room and bad showers. We were very glad to leave after our 2 night stay. It was probably better than a hostel, but it's hard to say.
