Spectacular sea views, decor and food.
Great relaxing stay. Stayed in room 70 'Posie". Awesome room with a view with a glass shower with the same view. loved the TV disappearing into the cabinet feature. Food was awesome and the cliff walk was great. Brilliant place. Highly recommend it. Loved the decor of the bathroom in particular. Also loved to pool. Great glass tile on the bottom that looked amazing in the sun.

Very Pricey.
This hotel very pricey/overpriced. Our room was large and spacious, but the shower was moldy and water spilled all over the bathroom floor when showering - the shower floor level is above the bath floor. The large soaking tub was pretty nice. Unless the waterfall type taps to the sinks were turned on full stream, water poured all over the vanity top. Badly designed plumbing! There was a two way electric fireplace between the bedroom and sitting areas. Our fireplace to the sitting room side did not work and the remotes for the fireplace were inoperable. We "lit" the fireplace manually from the bedroom side. The view to the water from our two small balconies was pretty spectacular and the restaurant served an interesting, unusual and quite delicious menu, with a very helpful and knowledgeable wine steward and attentive wait staff. There is a walking trail nearby that's worth doing, though it ended on a residential area on a bluff above the hotel, and it took awhile to figure out which roads to get back down to Cliff House. They really need to put directions back to the hotel. The trail starts just outside the hotel and goes out to the point, where the sea views are quite wonderful. There's really nothing to do in Ardmore of any note, so I would recommend this property as a couple's get away only.

Beautiful setting,
The stay was lovely, the bedrooms were the highlight, plus the welcome we got on check-in felt special 10/10. The bedrooms were fab, felt high quality, music sound system, shower and extra touches. Breakfast selection and staff were fab. The restaurant was closed for dinner on the night we were there so we eat in the bar. The food was good but the service was all over the place - wine did not arrive until we had already started our starters, we got steaks (not advised they were served with no sides) and so had to order them after the steak arrived, steak was ofc already eaten by time they arrived. Generally, the bar/restaurant staff did not reflect the 5 star standard you expect after arriving. My dessert cocktail, did not arrive after my bf dessert was already gone, 25mins later, this was not charged on the bill. The hotel is lacking a lobby / bar. Spa - I specifically asked fro a couples room, we were there to relax together. When we arrived, Keith was brought away first, and when i got to my room, the couples room, he was not there and had already started his treatment in another room, whilst I got mine in the large couples room alone. The therapist was lovely, but had no idea what treatments I had booked - she was about to leave the room when I had to ask about my facial. Overall I don't like to say but i feel its overpriced and not sure I'd return or highly recommend it again. Unfortunately the area was also extremely quiet with everything closed at the time of year

A little piece of magic..
The Cliff House brought the level of customer service upto almost unmatchable levels. Everything was superb from the get go. Every little detail catered for. Minor quibbles? I ordered seafood chowder for lunch on arrival and whilst absolutely delicious the quantity served up was meagre considering the €9.50 price. Ditto with my wife's fish for evening dinner in the Bar. However I would highhly highly recommend The Cliff House for a treat.
