Worst hotel ever.
The worst hotel I've been. It looks like it's falling apart. Every where you see there's something dirty or broken. The receptionists are eating all the time even while doing check ins. Really bad experience.

Being Refurbished Now
Rooms clean, staff friendly, grounds and pool well kept, but the building itself is in a sorry state. HOWEVER, the hotel is being refurbished NOW. Sadly, it is being refurbished in phases, which means constant noise of concrete drills and jackhammers from 8am to 5:30pm, including Saturdays and Sundays. The new owners HHG have a "policy" of charging your credit card with a $100 "damage deposit" at check-in. I suggest you negotiate a $100 noise abatement deposit (from HHG to you) in any booking you make. If there is no noise, you can refund it to them at the end of your stay.

No internet available
This hotel advertised wired internet connections in the room however they don't provide a cable. Essentially internet connectivity is unavailable. Considering the overall condition of the hotel, this is definitely not worth the stay.

Tenement on the beach
Location was great. The hotel itself was not so great. It need a major renovation. The people staying at this hotel are a mix of people on vacation and people renting long-term. Across from my room on the 4th floor was a balcony with a weight set and a tv. I think you can rent by the month. The hotel is very big, and it seemed like there was a large section of rooms in one wing that had been vacant/uninhabited for a long time. The room I stayed in on the 4th floor was clean, and the a/c worked fine. Although it was clean, it was in much need of a renovation. The shower took a while for water to get to the 4th floor. The phone had been ripped out of the wall and set back down on the desk and made to appear to work. When i asked the front desk about the phone, they told me none of the phones work anyways. So why have it sitting on the desk? The safe didn't work when i arrived, but they fixed it immediately. Wifi only works in the lobby. This was inconvenient. Behind Treasure Island are condos called Sunset Cove. You have to walk through Sunset Cove to get to the beach. Beach was great behind the hotel. The pool and bar closer to Sunset Cove are much nicer then the pool/bar inside Treasure Island. If you looking for a hotel with any amenities, stay somewhere else, but if you just want a place to sleep and want to be on the beach its ok. I went during high season and paid close to $200/nt. Way overpriced for what you get. $70-80 would have been more reasonable.
