to much meh for the money

The room information for the King deluxe room with a river view has a photo of a bathtub. You do not get a bathtub. Generally, the hotel was fine. But for that much money I expect more than just fine.

Great property! Service? Not so much.

Great property, lovely room with a fantastic view. convenient to the monuments, etc. The service however left much to be desired. The one housekeeper with whom I interacted was perfectly lovely, and *one* of the valets was also friendly and clearly wanted to be as helpful as possible. The remainder of the staff during our 3-night stay was at best okay and at worst rude and dismissive. We travel a lot and are friendly, laid back people. We are not difficult to please or to get along with, and both worked in service in the past. We were quite disappointed in the service. My husband overheard another couple in the valet area say they'd been coming there for years and would never come back. I understand COVID has made it difficult to staff appropriately. There is a difference between understaffed and just plain rude.

The only disappointing aspect was I had to wait for a long time for my room to be ready. But they were great about storing bags and the hotel is really cool, so fun to hang out . The restaurant in the basement was very fun. Like every thing right now, it was under staffed , we were not in a hurry , so it didn’t matter, and ended up being a lovely brunch!

    Disappointing

Service requested was not accomodated. We requested adjoining rooms with another couple we were traveling with for my husband's birthday. Not only didnt we get adjoining rooms, We were on the 12th & they were on the 9th. Very outdated rooms.

    Pretty nice but .......

Hotel was nice but we were hit with an $80 resort fee and parking was $52 so don't forget to add that to your Hotels.com special price. Additionally, the rooftop was supposed to be opened as stated by the front desk but when we got there it was closed to reserved people only. Private event I suppose. Otherwise, it was clean, modern and fairly comfortable. I can see it taking a long time to get to your room if the hotel is full. That process needs to be changed.

The hotel is run down and not clean at all. Our room smelled liked someone has been smoking in it and the lights kept flickering. More so, whenever we called the front desk from our room, we would have to call literally 10-12 times before someone answered. The rooms are dingy and nothing seemed to be kept clean. Our coffee cups within our room had lipstick stains. The iron board was all ripped up. Although the area it is in is conveniently located, I would find a different hotel next time.
