Auckland Water front Stay
The standard room are smaller than you would expect, for what you pay. Beds are extremely comfortable. Rooms are well appointed, with the usual mod cons. Very limited social space i.e. meeting friends. They have a library to use but it is either closed or booked for private functions. They talk about green credentials, but it always amuses me, when you have to run the hot water tap (wasting the water) for a minute or two to get actual hot water. The hotel is very central to the water front, shopping and transport. A pleasant stay, however I would have to say for what you pay and what you get, I wouldn't pay to stay at the Hotel again. There are plenty of hotels in the area, perhaps not with a green credential but comfortable and half the cost.

8/10 Very good

Overall, the hotel is beautiful and in a great area. My only issue was that there were ants in the room. They appeared quickly after I had taken leftover food back to my room. I killed them and got rid of the food, but when I told the person at the desk, his suggestion was that if they came back they would just come “vacuum them up”.
