It is good, not amazing
It was great for the price. Breakfast choices weren't excellent unless you like waffles and cereal. But the location is perfect, everything is in walking distance.

Bad place to stay
Was very bad trip room was damp and smelly, wasn't clean found old food on floor under edge of bed we were spraying disinfectant for smell and trying to kill ants after we told them three times we finally got someone to bring spray the day before we went home.we lost a bunch of food and snacks because of ants so I think we deserve a refund on some of our money we had no hair dryer pool was cloudy and had green slime in it.never saw anyone put chemicals in it or try to clean it.Had to ask for toilet paper cleaning people wouldn't leave any .we were always wiping down the dressers and stuff for ants and the drawers for clothes smelled really bad had to lay plastic bags in them to lay our clothes on.worst trip ever considering first time I have ever been to gatlinburg. When we first checked in the girl was very rude but the other. Lady was nice.

My husband and I booked this hotel because it was in the right location for what we wanted to do in Gatlinburg. First, we got there and the room we were given had holes in the walls, had the fire alarm pulled out and the towel rack was pulled off the wall in the bathroom. I went and spoke to the front desk and they gave us a new room. The new room was better, however, it had a bright light right outside of the window and it constantly looked like daytime in the room. Also, the shower looked like it was repaired where someone either punched or kicked a hole in it. Also, people stood outside of our room all night smoking and talking. Then, when it was time to leave, we were on the third floor and had our luggage to bring down and the elevator was broken.

Expect to get what you pay for (very little)
The Park View Inn is a very budget friendly hotel. The main pluses of the hotel are the location, the price, and the pool is very nice with great mountain views. I didn't go in expecting much at the $50 a night price tag, so I wasn't disappointed. It just isn't that nice of a hotel. The wi-fi is TERRIBLE! We were on the top floor over the lobby, and we couldn't get signals on most devices. There was exposed wiring in the ceiling where it looked like there once was a light, and also on the light switch cover by the sink. I only saw one cockroach over three nights, so that was a plus. The towels are dingy and stained, and non very plentiful (they're also tiny, so I'd bring your own towels for swimming). The breakfast wasn't bad on two of the three mornings, but our second there morning had almost nothing available. The staff was all very nice, and as helpful as they could have been under the circumstances.
