This is the second time I stayed at Grand Lapa. The reason I decided to stay here again was the great experience I had even though the property was under construction. This second time, I wasn’t as pleased. 1. Check in staff are not as friendly as last time. 2. I got the newly renovated room this time, last time, I had a one of the older rooms. Overall the room is clean and modern looking. There are many small details of this newly renovated room that are not quite up to par in terms of the quality of construction. The toilet door is hard to open and close, literally had to put my foot against the wall to pull the door open. If you look at the overall detail, material and fixture look quite cheap. Nonetheless, it’s still a nice hotel.

The feeling of our family....
13-8-2018 is our first visit to this hotel, the environment is very comfortable, although not the most advanced, but this hotel is very different than the high-end hotel I have been to before. First of all, the waiter in the lobby is very polite, active, very kind, and the most important thing is that everyone is smiling, to check in, is the Front Office Manager Patrick Ong to help us, his courtesy, patience, care, smile It is also a feeling that we will want to stay one more night, very good, because the Manager is also so polite to the guests, so other waiters will be a good example, the same are polite people, very much appreciated. Because there is still a child coming, so I am afraid that the room is not enough. Attentive Manager Patrick will help us find out if there is another room that is more suitable for us. His behavior is very touching. He really found a suitable one for us. I appreciate that he can continue to look for unconditionally, Thank You. When I arrived at the room, my family was very satisfied. He added a bed to us. I was very happy. I arrived at the hotel equipment and they were all neat, clean, perfect and complete. All employees in the upper and lower departments are active, smiling, polite, friendly and attentive. On this 2 day and 1 night journey, our feeling is perfect, perfect, or perfect. Finally, thank you, hard work.

Fantastic Stay, no construction noise.
Our stay was amazing! One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at and honestly, the hotel was the best part of Macau. Pros: We didn't hear any construction noise at all, it was very peaceful. We were on the seventh floor. The pool was amazing, waterfall and slide, I wish I had this pool at home. The staff was amazing, they even lent us an umbrella. The casino was the only one I found that had 100 macau patakas blackjack. The other casinos were mostly 300. And it just smelled really good when we walked in. The hotel was the best part of our stay! It is so close to the ferry, which was great because we came from hong kong. There's also a shuttle bus from the ferry terminal to the hotel but it doesn't leave very often. It's better to take it to the Sands and walk 1 minute to the hotel. Cons: The casino staff and especially dealers were really rude and mean. They had a sad and angry look on their face the entire time and was very impatient towards me. I even complained about my blackjack dealer to the manager. The casino is a bit bare and minimal, but it's good for a few hours. The surrounding area has a lot of casinos. But other than that, no cons.

Grand Lapa - Great Hotel
Check in: Staff (Karman) was super efficient and friendly. Concierge Staff: Super efficient and friendly. House keeping: Excellent manner Front desk: Isabella was super helpful with our rooms change. Beds: Very comfy. Location: Very convenient. We bought from Hotels.com the rate for the older room, but we got upgraded to the renovated room. We also got our request for the connecting rooms honored. However, the rooms had a strong smell from the renovation. My husband and my son didn't think it was a problem, but my mom and I felt a headache after we stayed in the rooms for a bit longer. Hence, we asked for rooms change. Isabelle, the front desk staff, helped us to change rooms immediately, and he asked the housekeeping to come help us with the move. Very smoothly and efficiently. Both the newer rooms and the older rooms were very clean and tidy. The condition of the older rooms were not bad. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel from our stay. The only downside I could think of were: 1. they are under renovation, hence, a big area of the lobby has been blocked up for renovation. The noise is minimal. I don't think I heard any noise at all from the rooms. 2. the water drainage from the bathtub is a bit slow, hence, they probably need to send a plumber to clear the drain. But this is minor issue.

Great Hotel for Families
We just got back from a 5 night stay at the Grand Lapa in Macau. We had a comfortable family suite, which had a living room and a separate bedroom - perfect for families. Gambling is serious business in Macau, and children are not allowed to even walk through a casino. If you are travelling as a family, it is important to have a hotel with facilities that are separated from the casino. This hotel is being renovated, and our not yet renovated room was comfortable, but in need of updating. Because they have so much land, I can really see the potential here once their renovations are complete. Service at this hotel was excellent and every accommodation was made so that we were comfortable. Every afternoon, a special treat was brought to us - appetizers, a bottle of wine, or a chocolate treat. The pool and spa area is very nice and unlike most other hotels in Macau. Our son really enjoyed the water slide We also loved Naam, the Thai restaurant on site. We were there over Christmas and enjoyed a wonderful lobster and champagne dinner. The hotel is next door to the Sands, which has a large bus shuttle service to the other casinos, and the Cotai strip. We liked this hotel and would stay there again.
