The Peninsula Bangkok, Bangkok

Superb stay in Bangkok. Two nits that you may want to look at: It'shard to get coffee t breakfast. First you get a half-a-cup then you have to wait a while to get more. You may have to ask twice. The hotel is impeccable, elegant, and beautiful/ Why not have a dress code for evenings. Usually most women are well dresses, some elegant. Most men too, yet there are always the pot=bellied males (mostly Americans, with more hair on their chin thn their head who parade throughout dining areas, bars and lobby dressed like school-boys in baggy shorts and tee-shirts. It takes away from the hotel. Post the rule and enforce it. Thank you for running this fine hotel.

The service was poor at the restaurant: slow and inattentive. The room smells like strong mold. I decided to give the peninsula another try as I used to stay there in the past but the service is worse than what it was 7 years ago. I will go back to the Mandarin Oriental as it is worth the extra price

Quite possibly the best hotel at which I have ever stayed. The staff was beyond excellent and exceptionally friendly and helpful. I had a health issue and they had a nurse in the hotel and a doctor on call at a local hospital who arranged everything for a positive and easy experience at the hospital. I consider that real service. My suite was exceptionally appointed and very comfortable and most definitely worth a bit of splurging: separate bedroom, living room, work area, entryway, dressing area and bathroom. The bathroom was very large and had a deep bathtub, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I could not recommend it more. The hotel is right on the river and convenient to most of the central attractions.

Incorrect information for booking. When I booked with the Peninsula Bangkok from hotel.com, I chose the breakfast option. Since we have two adult and one child. Therefore I should have three people breakfast included (see attachment for reference). However, when I stayed at the Peninsula Bangkok. the hotel claimed only two people's breakfast were included. Therefore, I had to pay breakfast for my daughter. I have communicated with the hotel multiple times and Hotel.com a couple of times. Unfortunately, the issue cannot be resolved. I have traveled to many countries. Hotel breakfast should include the number of people stayed. I never see any hotel only includes two adults' breakfast and we have to pay breakfast for young kids. On top of that, breakfast is similar to $60 range hotel provided. No worth to pay that much money.

This place was amazing! Transportation from the airport, brunch and upgraded room to the top floor made our one day/night in Bangkok fantastic! Everything was perfect and comfort was perfect. We loved the boat ride from the hotel. Can't say enough about brunch. It was our favorite on a 13 day trip to 6 countries. The hotel really was my favorite on our trip.
