We booked this hotel after our long flight from Guatemala. Decided to stay and rest before heading home the following day. I called a few hours earlier to let them know our flight was getting in late and we’d be doing late check out. Primarily to get some much needed rest after our flight. We got in a little after midnight and walked the short distance to the hotel. There is a gas station walking distance as well. I checked in and let the front counter personnel know I’d called earlier and was told late check out could be accommodated. I was then informed no one had informed them and they were fully booked and could not accommodate it. After discussing with the personnel again and informing them I had called a few hours ago and was told they’d make a note on my reservation and late check out would not be a problem. They agreed to extend late check out from 11 to 12. We went to bed that night thinking we’d be able to sleep in the following morning. We were woken up the following day at 7am with a continuous alarm going off in the room next to us. I called the front desk and they said it was a fire alarm and they were working in it. After 15-20, I called again as the alarm was still going off. Again, I was told they were working on it. It was 816am before the alarm was finally turned off, over an hour after I had initially called. Very disappointed, I really should’ve tried to get a refund but I’m all actuality didn’t have the energy for it. Probably won’t stay here again.

This property was clean and the fitness center was great! My biggest gripe is that the food was way overpriced for the location. $5 for a drip coffee, $9 for a large latte, or $15 for a small breakfast. These prices need to be lowered
