We've stayed at Main St. several times over the last 30 years. What we like is that it's more compact than a larger (maze-like) hotel and the familiarity. Our only issue this stay was with the uncomfortable beds.

Not the place
I booked for 2 night stay. When first went into room it looked nice then walked into bathroom and saw that it looked like it was from the 60's with no updates. The following morning the water from the shower smelled. It got very cold that night so turned heater on, could hear the rumbling motor all night. Was awoken at 6:30 a.m. by pounding outside, the room looked out to the rooftop and blowers of hotel. Then saw there was actually tape covering the window, why so cold and noisy. I asked the front desk for different room the next morning after stating the problems of that room. They just handed me a key and told me to "check" on the new room first. Well the room was on the top floor but in just opening the door to the room I could already hear the traffic from the freeway which was the "view" from the room.

A comfortable stay except traffic noise
Great location and the hotel rate was very reasonable. No resort fee but you have to pay for Internet if you want to use it. Our room was facing Interstate and it was very noisy. I would stay at this property again but would request a room away from the traffic noise next time. Other than that, the room was comfortable and well appointed. I really liked the antique feel of the whole property. It felt warm and calm, unlike the party frenzy craziness of the downtown Las Vegas.
