The Walper Hotel, Kitchener
A very bad experience
The room service was very bad. They spilt my over priced soup all over the floor. I cleaned it up. The portion was already small. The drinks were not what I ordered at all. It was a very long wait in the first place so I had to take what I got or I wouldn't get it for a long long time. There were drunk groups of men that made my wife uncomfortable. I almost had to discipline the drunks. I looked forward to staying at the hotel since I once lived in kitchener. My room service was a total rip off. I did not receive what I was charged for.

My husband and I drove 5.5 hours to reach this destination, and were greeted with smiles, at 9:00 p.m.! A gorgeous hotel, with parking, great restaurants, a museum, and the Symphony within a block!

Exactly what a boutique hotel should be!
This was my second time staying here, and I love everything about it. The rooms, the thought put into the furniture and fixtures, the AMAZING bathroom (those floors!), and even the little touches, like a legit electric kettle with a drip cone coffee. An in-room refrigerator stocked with free water is a nice complement to the free wifi. The staff is incredible too! I don't know what the parking situation is, and while I wish they had their own equally impressive restaurant on site, the ones immediately adjacent to it on King Street should satisfy any appetite.

My girlfriend and I were staying over night in Kitchener and we found a deal for the Walper, so we jumped on it. We had a most magnificent time there. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The room was beautiful, the pictures online are exactly what we saw. Very impressed and will look forward to our next trip there.
